KINGS WILL DIE LIKE KINGS
BUT A LORD NEVER DIES
While his origins are unclear, X, known by the alias Lord X (and formerly Sonic.exe), has quickly made his mark on the music industry with his 1983 single, I Miss the Quiet, alongside Big Misser in the same year. He worked with the publisher Funny Scary Skulls (Friends), and later on Demonic Records in 1999. His inspirations include Babyface, Bobby Brown, and most notably, Michael Jackson.
Since then, he has gained quite the cult following, likely due to his mysterious nature, the spooky presentation of himself and his works, and especially his appearance akin to that of videogame mascot Sonic the Hedgehog. He's dedicated to this character he plays, some fans remarking he even signed autographs using his own blood whenever his pen ran out of ink purely for the shock value.
After he finished releasing music, his name faded into obscurity until the early 2020's, when his likeness was used for mods of the indie game Friday Night Funkin'. Since then he regained his popularity, even skyrocketing past his previous peak in the 1980's. This resurgence in popularity inspired many more fan works, especially ones based on Meet Your Lord. Even after all is said and done, he's only just begun.
